Safer Bubble Baths

Bubble baths have long been cautioned against because they can irritate the urethra and lead to urinary tract infections. Combine that with the ingredients commonly found in bubble bath soap and you definitely don’t want to be sitting in one, letting that soak into your (or your children’s) most delicate parts.

Common ingredients to AVOID in bubble baths:
– Sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLS)
– Fragrance
(for more info on WHY you want to avoid these, type in #toxineducation in the search box in our member Facebook group).

So, here are a few recipes to try for a SAFER bubble bath:

For essential oils, only use 100% pure therapeutic oils, such as Young Living. Young Living’s oils have no fillers, chemical extenders, solvents, etc. Order yours here.
For bathtime, our top favorite combo is Lavender and Stress Away.

Recipe #1 – Super Bubbles for the Superhero
1 cup fragrance free castile soap
1 egg white
5-25 drops of Young Living essential oil of choice (less for children, more for adults).

Whisk ingredients together and drizzle under running bath water.

Recipe #2 – Bedtime Soother Salt Bath

1/2 cup epsom salt
1/8 cup himalayan pink sea salt
1 cup fragrance free castile soap
1 tbsp vegetable glycerin
10-50 drops Young Living essential oils, like Lavender and Stress Away
Whisk all ingredients together. Drizzle under running water while filling the bath.

Recipe #3 – Simple Bubbles
1/2 cup distilled water
1/2 cup fragrance free castile soap
1/4 cup vegetable glycerin
10-30 drops of Young Living essential oils of choice

Cheers to a fun (and safe) bubble bath!
